Cook Time 40 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 10 minutes
Serving Size 35 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 1 cup chopped nuts or dried coconut
  • 1 cup dried fruit, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or butterscotch chips or just more chocolate chips
  • 1 (300 ml) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup melted, un-salted butter

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 325.
  • Line an 11x17 baking sheet with parchment paper, leaving a lip so its easier to lift out later.
  • Add the oats, nuts or dried coconut, dried fruit, sunflower seeds, chocolate chips, condensed milk and butter to a large bowl and mix well.
  • Transfer all to the pan and spread out evenly. Press into the pan very well with a rubber spatula.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Check at 25 minutes first as ovens vary.
  • Cool in the pan on a cooling rack for 20-30 minutes, then remove from the pan with the parchment paper and slice into bars.
  • Transfer them to a cooling rack to completely cool.
  • Once completely cooled, add them to an airtight container and store either at room temperature, in the fridge or in the freezer.

Notes

  • My favorite combination is with dried coconut, even parts white chocolate chips and chocolate chips and dried cranberries as the dried fruit option.
