Bringing History Back to The Table
Welcome to The Happy Homemaker, my names Nicole, and my love for cooking began alongside my nana and grandma. I loved watching them work with simple ingredients while making meals from scratch. Their homes were filled with warmth, tradition, and the comforting smells of food made by hand.

How it all started
When I was a young girl I found a love for making food. When I got older I turned to old cookbooks that I found at garage sales and second hand stores.
With each book, it felt like I was cooking alongside different women from the past and I wanted to revive their forgotten recipes.

What You’ll Find Here
Here I will share tested and adapted recipes from multiple decades. Some decades shaped by prosperity and some by hardship.
The goal is to make these dishes practical, delicious, and easy to cook in today’s homes while honoring their roots.
In addition to historical recipes, I also create my own cozy, from scratch recipes. Whether it’s a vintage revival or a comfort food classic, every recipe here is made with care.
If you love history and comforting home cooked meals with the simple ingredients you are in the right place. Lets bring history back to the table, one recipe at a time!
